Impact of Construction Variability on Pavement Performance: Report II
Date
2005Type
Technical ReportAbstract
The objective ofthis research was to evaluate the impact of construction variability in aggregate gradation, binder content, and in-place air-voids, on the performance of HMA pavements. The performance of HMA pavements was measured in terms of their resistance to rutting, fatigue cracking, and thermal cracking using advanced laboratory testing techniques. Materials were selected to cover common sources used in northern and southern Nevada and typical mix designs.
