Abstract
EnviroShower introduces a product that will benefit all households by providing a device
that will allow users to reduce the amount of water that is used while taking a shower. With
using just minimal different parts such as a microcontroller, a RTC chip, an LCD screen, a rotary
encoder, a temperature sensor, an electric valve, a buzzer and a housing, the EnviroShower is a
product that can be used in every home to save money. During setup, an allotted amount of time
will be set for each person’s shower. Once the water has reached a designated temperature,
determined by the temperature sensor, the timer will start on the LCD screen. Once the
designated amount of time is almost at the end, a buzzer will go off to let the person know they
are nearing the end of their shower time. At the end of the time, the microcontroller will send a
signal to turn the ball valve into the closed position to end the shower. The whole product will be
able to run on just a few AA batteries which will run the product for a long period of time. The
product can be installed with no professional installation. A consumer will be able to install the
product and set up the system in just a few minutes. EnviroShower is an innovative way for
people to take shorter showers saving them money on their utility bills.
