Abstract
End of the World by Flood and Cannibal is a collection of short fiction exploring regional and personal apocalypses. Most are set in the Southern US, and many explore characters’ relationships with their evangelical Christian upbringings. The collection also considers insane mothers, the horrors of having and raising children, and natural disasters. This thesis contains, at its end, an excerpt of the novel-in-progress Self Help for Bit Parts.
