Accurate calculation of block-sample covariances using gauss quadrature

This thesis demonstrates that a calculation can be made with superior accuracy by sing Gauss quadrature to approximate the areal or volumetric integral for block-sample covariance. Four Gauss points is optimal for the calculation.
