Abstract
The eastern Excelsior Mountains are underlain by Permian, Triassic and Cretaceous volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks and porphyry stocks that are unconformably overlain by Tertiary ash-flow tuff, andesite lava flows, and laharic breccias. Additionally, various forms of alteration have been observed and studied.
