Geology of the Corral Canyon area, Churchill County, Nevada

The geology and mineralization of Corral Canyon were studied. Low-grade titanium deposits occur in dikes which cut diorite. Alteration of the diorite and dikes is extensive. Gold was deposited in some dikes.

The Horse Canyon gold deposit is hosted by Devonian Wenban Limestone (lower plate), and Ordovician Vivini Formation (upper plate). The Roberts Mountains thrust runs through the deposit.
