The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine has more than 20 faculty members with advanced training and a tremendous amount of community faculty support to provide optimal medical education experiences. The internal medicine department provides medical training at its Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Residency Clinic for students during required rotations. Our clinic accepts Medicaid, Medicare and most commercial health insurance plans. It offers medical services in dermatology, geriatrics, hypertension management, HIV/AIDS management, infectious disease treatment and travel medicine.
In addition, the internal medicine department offers a fully accredited residency and fellowship program. Our faculty members are dedicated to the educational development of our residents and fellows and are committed to offering high-quality teaching across a variety of subspecialties. Residents and fellows have the opportunity to work directly with the attendings, while getting a more individualized educational experience.
